When Mercedes-Benz went electric
Mercedes' first US electric car borrowed its battery, motor and transmission from Tesla: the B250e, sold from 2014 in zero-emission states. The EQ line followed, with the EQS sedan in 2021 and the EQE and their SUVs after it, built on dedicated electric platforms.
