When Rivian went electric
Rivian's R1T pickup reached customers in September 2021 as a 2022 model, ahead of the R1S SUV; both use a skateboard platform with a quad-motor option. The smaller, cheaper R2 arrives next, and Amazon's electric delivery vans are built on the same architecture.
