What this group is
From the station recordsDealers install fast chargers for service bays and demonstration charging, which is why this group skews so heavily to CCS1 and 50 kW or more. A dealership is often the fastest charger in a small town.
Access is the catch. Some dealership chargers are open to the public, some are for customers, and the record does not always say. Check the station page before planning a stop around one.

By place type in this group
Counts are stations, not plugs. A station can list more than one connector or network, so it can appear in more than one hub. Prices are the networks' own tariffs and can change by time of day. Counts from the directory data of October 2026.

Dealerships: common questions
Coverage, power and priceHow many EV charging stations are at dealerships?
EVDIR lists 594 public stations at dealerships, across 20 states and 403 cities, with 1,227 charging stalls. 332 are recorded as open around the clock.
Are dealerships chargers open to the public?
Not always. The directory lists a station because our records do, and some sites — a residents' garage, a staff parking lot, a dealer's forecourt — are not open to anyone who drives in. The station page carries the access line and the hours the record holds, so check it before planning a stop.
How fast are the chargers at dealerships?
150 stations are Level 2 (under 50 kW), 353 are DC fast at 50 kW or more, and 52 reach 150 kW or more. The peak power on a station page is what the record shows for that site.
How much does it cost to charge at dealerships?
431 of them quote a per-kWh price, with a median of $0.45 and 137 at $0.40 or less. The price is set by the site's owner, so two hotels in the same city can charge differently.
